Welcome to Port Arthur, Commander. As you've probably been briefed, things are a little hotter here than expected. In order to keep the Jaguars off guard, "Ricochet" Lance under my command is going to be dropped on the far end of the primary continent. We're basically going to cause as much trouble as we can to pull some of the defenders away from our other operations.

That means you get a gift. We took down a Jaguar Mad Cat as we were securing the landing zone, but we can't take it with us - the thing's too big, and the rear armor won't be replaced in time. That means its yours. Make the best use of it you can.

A bit of advice: the Mad Cat's a powerful beast, but it's not the be all and end all. It's not a good close-in fighter, the enemy will tend to focus fire on it, and its a pain in the butt to repair. Use it wisely, but don't think that it in and of itself is going to solve all your problems.
